This Miles Buzz thread talks about getting an extra 18 US Airways Points when you use their shopping portal to book travel via Booking Buddy.
I looked at it and made a dumb math mistake. For some reason I multiplied the cost of tickets by 1.8.
Hmmm. I thought that if I spent $1000 then I would get 1,800 points. Nice, but not that big of a deal.
But, then I looked at it more closely. It’s not 1.8, but 18.
Thus, it would be 18,000 bonus points for buying $1,000 in travel.
Now that’s a good deal.
I’ve got some upcoming travel to book, so you can bet I’ll be going through the US Airways shopping portal. Of course, getting a screenshot of the promotion is a good idea as well as screenshots as you go through the process.
This sounds like one of those too good to be true promotions, so I wonder how long it will be around.
Just so you know, you can still book travel at some of your favorite sites (like Expedia). You just need to enter through the BookingBuddy door.
