I would highly stress checking in online exactly 24 hours before your scheduled departure time. Usually you can get in to group A with this method (at least one person from your group anyway). Are they nuts? Are they trying to tick people off? Good to know they are pretty much the only airline that does this. After our flight with them, I can cross them off my list.
